The law firms Quijano & Associates and De Obaldía & García de Paredes (DEOGAP) have announced the formalization of a strategic integration agreement through which they unify their capabilities, teams, and trajectories under a single institutional identity: Quijano & Associates.

This integration consolidates more than 100 years of combined experience — 67 years of trajectory of Quijano & Associates and 35 years of distinguished practice of DEOGAP — positioning the firm among the 10 largest and most influential firms in Panama. This marks a decisive step toward building a stronger, more modern organization prepared to respond to an increasingly complex and demanding legal environment.

Local Strength

As part of this new stage, Quijano & Associates strategically strengthens its practice lines focused on the local market, with special emphasis on key areas for the country’s business development, such as Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As), Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Public Procurement, Tax Law, and Litigation and Arbitration, in addition to the other practice areas that have historically distinguished both firms, such as Corporate Law and Estate Planning.

The unification under a single brand will provide greater clarity to the market, enhance the client experience, and consolidate the firm’s reputation as one of the most established and influential legal references in Panama.

Greater Value for Clients

This integration is aimed at generating greater value for our clients. The combination of experience, strengthened talent, and expanded capabilities enables us to deliver more robust, specialized, and efficient legal counsel.

Our mission is to provide the best legal service in the country, supported by technological innovation and the finest talent in the Panamanian legal industry, always placing our clients at the center of every decision.

With this agreement, Quijano & Asociados reaffirms its commitment to excellence, trust, and continuous evolution, consolidating a firm prepared to lead both the present and the future of the legal sector in Panama.
