September 4, 2026Our firm had the honor of participating as a Sponsors and Panelists in the third edition of the National Congress on Public and Private Procurement (CONCOP 2026), one of Panama’s leading forums for dialogue, analysis, and knowledge exchange on public and private procurement.
The event brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, international organizations, companies, and specialists to discuss the challenges and opportunities that will shape the country’s future.
As part of the congress’s academic program, our firm was represented by our senior associate, Alexs Sugasty, on the panel “The Present and Future of Public Procurement in Panama,” which provided a forum for analyzing the evolution of Panama’s public procurement system, current regulatory challenges, and opportunities to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and legal certainty in procurement processes. He was joined on the panel by Guido Rodríguez, Javier Raúl Marquínez, and Gabriel Silva.
Quijano & Associates’ participation in this important event provided a valuable opportunity to contribute our experience and perspective to the discussion of the challenges and opportunities facing public procurement in Panama, while fostering knowledge exchange and dialogue among the various stakeholders who play a role in the country’s institutional and economic development.
We thank the organizers of CONCOP for promoting initiatives that encourage the exchange of knowledge and the development of solutions aimed at making public procurement increasingly transparent, efficient, and innovative.
