July 21, 2026Our partner, Oliver Muñoz, participated as a panelist in the conference, “Draft Bill on Virtual Assets for the Republic of Panama,” organized by the Digital Economy Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC – Panama). The event provided a forum for discussing the key challenges and opportunities presented by the regulation of virtual assets in Panama.
During the conference, Oliver joined Belisario Castillo Sáenz on the panel, offering a legal perspective on the potential impact that this legislative initiative could have on Panama’s financial, technological, and regulatory landscape.
The event brought together professionals from the legal, financial, and technology sectors who share an interest in fostering an informed dialogue on the evolution of the regulatory framework governing virtual assets and their role in the development of Panama’s digital economy.
We are proud that our professionals actively contribute to discussions that promote the modernization of the legal framework and strengthen Panama’s business environment. Oliver’s participation as a specialist in Financial Law and Digital Assets reaffirms our firm’s commitment to analyzing emerging regulatory trends and generating knowledge in strategic areas that support both our clients and the country’s continued development.
We extend our sincere thanks to the ICC Panama Digital Economy Commission for the invitation, as well as to the Panamanian Banking Association (Asociación Bancaria de Panamá) for hosting this important event, which encourages the exchange of ideas and contributes to strengthening Panama’s innovation and digital economy ecosystem.
