On March 19, the 1st STEP Summit Panama 2026 took place, bringing together distinguished professionals and experts to address key topics in estate and succession planning.

In this inaugural edition, Quijano & Associates had the honor of participating as a Sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening knowledge and promoting best practices in wealth and business planning.

Representing our firm were our associates, Valerie Barrios and Natalia De Obaldía, as well as our InterOffice Manager, Jorge Luis Yu, who actively participated in the various sessions throughout the event.

During the summit, presentations and discussion panels were held focusing on highly relevant topics, such as personal estate planning, key tools in succession planning, the relationship between family, marriage, and wealth, as well as planning for special situations and family conflicts. Additionally, essential aspects of corporate wealth planning were addressed, including business ownership structuring, the importance of shareholders’ agreements as a planning tool, and the challenges faced by family businesses during generational succession processes.
