October 22, 2025As sponsors of «Familias Empresarias de Panamá», Quijano & Associates had the honor of hosting at our offices the Conversation with IE University, titled “Entrepreneurial DNA in Family Businesses: Entrepreneurship with Purpose and Impact.” This event was specially designed for the new generations of business families seeking to innovate, diversify, and expand their legacy with a vision of sustainability and transformation.
The session, facilitated by Rafael Salazar, entrepreneur, innovation strategist, and Open Innovation advisor for startups and corporations, offered participants a practical and reflective experience on how to create and sustain purpose-driven ventures, beyond the core of the family business.
Throughout the discussion, attendees explored how to identify and articulate the deeper purpose of their initiatives, understanding the importance of building projects that generate real and sustainable impact. They also addressed topics such as the connection between purpose and innovation, understanding client needs and challenges, and developing impact models that align with both the family’s vision and values.
Representing our firm, our partner Carla Rojas Pardini, expert in estate and succession planning, shared her insights on how family governance principles and intergenerational planning are essential to ensure the continuity and success of family enterprises.
At Quijano & Associates, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening Panamanian family businesses, promoting spaces for learning, reflection, and collaboration that foster sustainable development and responsible innovation in our country.
