Panama Beautiful is a residential and commercial real estate conference, which used to be organized by the United States-Panama Business Council (USPA) under the name “Panama Spectacular”, and under this new format brought more than 100 real estate agents from the United States to Panama, in order to put them in contact with local developers and real estate agents and promote the sale of Panamanian real estate in the United States.

Panama, a country of stunning beauty, has become one of the most attractive countries in the world for second homes and retirement. In fact, according to the International Living Retirement Index, it is the #1 retirement paradise in the world. The main reasons for this ranking is that Panama is centrally located, with multiple direct air routes to the United States, and with flights to all the capitals of the Americas and the Caribbean, some several times a day.

In addition, Panama is a safe country that welcomes foreigners and uses the dollar as legal tender. It has something to offer everyone: a dynamic metropolis in Panama City; highlands in Boquete, El Valle de Anton and other areas; beaches on the Pacific and the Caribbean; while the interior of the country offers picturesque communities with a low cost of living.

As speakers during the conference, our Managing Partner, Julio Quijano, addressed the topic of the Legal Framework of Real Estate Law in Panama, making a comparison of the differences between the purchase and sale of real estate in the United States and in Panama, and also about the possibility of obtaining Permanent Residency through a real estate investment, as well as the possibility of a naturalization process in our country.
