Quijano & Associates participates in the X Annual Congress of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Panama
October 7, 2025Our firm had the pleasure of participating in the Business & Investors’ Day 2025 (PBID 2025), an event organized by the Panama–Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where we were represented by our Business Development Manager, Fernando Ardito.
The PBID 2025 was held on September 29 and 30 at the Renaissance Panama City Hotel, serving as a strategic platform to strengthen commercial integration between Panama and Brazil, in the context of Panama’s recent incorporation as an Associated State of MERCOSUR.
The program included two thematic sessions (Business Day and Investors’ Day) featuring panels, conferences, and networking spaces focused on key areas for regional growth.
Some of the main topics discussed were:
• Economic and commercial outlook of Panama within the MERCOSUR framework
• Logistics, transportation, and infrastructure as drivers of regional competitiveness
• Tax incentives, special regimes, and legal advantages for investment projects
• Business success stories and the experience of national and international stakeholders
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Commerce and Industries, Julio Moltó, who highlighted the importance of the event as “a business showcase to position the country as a regional hub for trade and investment.” The event also gathered government authorities, Brazilian business leaders, diplomatic representatives, and distinguished experts.
Participating in forums such as PBID 2025 aligns with our firm’s vision to provide clients with comprehensive legal counsel with international reach, supporting investment projects, foreign trade, and the development of initiatives that create sustainable value for Panama and the region.
