Executive Decree No. 506 of March 24, 2020, orders the temporary suspension of the activity of the construction industry in all projects currently under development in the national territory, with the exception of those that expressly provide the sanitary Authority. For the purposes of this temporary suspension, it is understood to include the manufacture, distribution and dispatch of concrete, cement and its derivatives, as well as quarries.

Likewise, the Ministry of Health is empowered to authorize, through a ministerial resolution, the reactivation of the operation, activity and mobilization of specific companies, that develop projects and provide services to a public institution, whose temporary suspension obeys Executive Decrees due to the State of National emergency.

Failure to comply with this measure will be sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of Law 40 of November 16, 2006, without prejudice to other corresponding criminal and / or civil sanctions.

The temporary suspension ordered by means of this Executive Decree will have a validity of thirty (30) calendar days.
