On June 25, Quijano & Associates had the honor of participating in the Aliado Forum: Capital Markets, organized by Banco Aliado in Panama City. The event brought together leading financial industry experts to explore the opportunities offered by Panama’s capital markets.

Representing the firm, Our Partner Oliver Muñoz participated as a panelist, focusing on the legal aspects of structuring and issuing REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts). His presentation highlighted the benefits of REITs as a tool for wealth diversification, along with legal and practical recommendations for successful issuance through trust structures.

The forum also featured insights from distinguished panelists such as Olga Cantillo, who provided an overview of the development of Panama’s capital markets and the opportunities for issuance through Latinex; and Juan Manuel Martan, from Moody’s, who emphasized the importance of strong corporate governance for market readiness and explained the core pillars of a credit rating process.
