The Panamanian Capital Markets Association (APAMEC) successfully hosted the second edition of the APAMEC FORUM, an exclusive event that brought together more than 250 key figures from Panama’s securities market on June 19, 2025. Quijano & Asociados had the honor of participating as a sponsor of the event.

Among the attendees were regulatory authorities, representatives from trade associations, investors, issuers, financial analysts, and business leaders, who engaged in high-level discussions on the most pressing issues shaping the future of the sector and shared valuable insights on its evolution.

Our partner, attorney Oliver Muñoz, also took part in this edition on behalf of Quijano & Asociados, as a panelist in the session titled: “Digital Assets and the Transformation of the Financial Sector: Challenges and Opportunities,” alongside Lic. Belisario Castillo from Banco Aliado, with moderation by Mr. Sergi Lucas, President of the Panamanian Capital Markets Association.

A new feature of this year’s forum was the Awards and Recognition Ceremony, which honored the outstanding contributions and careers of professionals and institutions that have significantly supported the strengthening of Panama’s financial ecosystem. During the ceremony, Lic. Oliver Muñoz received special recognition for his valuable support and commitment to the development of the capital markets in Panama, actively contributing to the sector’s growth and consolidation.
