In 1959, Quijano & Associates was established in the Republic of Panama in order to serve a worldwide clientele requiring advice and assistance in maritime and offshore matters. Two years later, this desire to serve our clients led to us becoming the first-ever Panamanian law firm to have a European office when we opened for business in Switzerland.

Today, Quijano & Associates is a truly international law firm, having additional offices in the United Kingdom, the British Virgin Islands and Belize, and close associations with premier firms all around the world. We remain at the forefront of maritime and offshore legal practice, but have increased our expertise to encompass a diverse range of other areas.
